1995 Mercruiser 454 mag EFI SKI Timing Adjustment

I am going to be attempting to start my boat up this weekend after I completed a head gasket replacement last weekend. Does anyone know the ideal setting for the timing? Someone told me 16 degrees, but he was basing that off of the 454 in his Chevelle and wasn't sure if that applied to boats with same/similar engines.
