I have a 1995 Suzuki DT90 that I have rebuilt the power head and carbs. now when it runs it goes to the fast idle then shuts off but will crank right back and run for a few seconds and then shuts off if I unplug the temp sensor it will run a little longer and then shuts off, if I unplug the throttle control sensor or the 12v to the CDI unit it will continue to run. I have replaced the sensors and down to what I think is a bad CDI unit. I have taken it to the shop and they have no clue. I need help, I do not want to invest in a CDI unit if it is not the problem.

Do you have manual? If not, get a Clymer manual. It should have trouble shooting measures outlined in it, even for the CDI unit. There will be some electrical tests that you can do to se if the numbers come up in specified range that will be listed in the manual. $30 for the manual will be alot better than the major $$$$ for the CDI on a hunch.

Good luck and keep postin'

I have a manual, everthing seems to check out. I have metered the throttle positioning sensor, temp sensor, water temp sensor, and to positioning coils. I do not know what else to check.

Anybody else got a clue. I do not want to steer him wrong, or have him spend $$$ that he does not need to.
