1996 130 hp no power at the control

why all of a sudden would i loose all power at the throttle control?
i just flushed it out after a bay fishing trip, it operated just fine
i checked all elctrical plugs...and the ignition fuse what else am i missing?
all connections seem to be good and tight.

usually inline fuse near the solenoid.

it was fine but under the floor where there was a splice in the red power wire that spit to the ignition and the trim was corroded and broke...all is well except i have to find a water tight wire splicer...

I like liquid electrical tape, solder wires, add a couple of applications of the liquid tape then wrap with elec tape to protect from chafing, those wiring clips are usefull if the wires are flopping around. Zip tie bundles together and run them thru a clip and secure clip to something with a screw.
