1996 75hp vs 90hp 2 stroke.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is in these 2 motors to make the 90 more powerful?<br />They both have the same bore/stroke weigh the same and as far as I can tell use the same short block. Is it the carbs, reeds, or what?<br />Thanks

bw19<br /><br /><br />i am only speculating this since my 90hp manual also has 75hp. the rpm's are higher in the 90 the jets in the carbs are a little bigger, the oil injection seems to be the same an the timing is diferent other than that (a very brief thumb through the manual) every thing else looks the same. <br /><br />personally,,,, i wouldn't mess with it <br /><br /><br />chris
