Hello I just bought a 96' 90hp force motor and the lower unit is bad and I'm interested in putting a jet on it. I've been researching and i can't find any jets for a mercury force. Do jet pumps for a 90 mercury force exist???? thanks alot. also one more question. would this motor be a good candidate to run as a jet?

Hello:

You would get better information on the Force/Chrysler forum as your engine and a Mercury/Mariner are two completely different engines.

Also, it's NOT a Mercury Force. It IS a Force.

Re: 1996 90hp Mercury Force Question?!?!

It is a Force made by Mercury Marine, actually, it is a Force made by Brunswick.

There were earlier versions made by US Marine, and by Chrysler before them.

I don't think they offered a jet foot.
I don't think a Merc foot will work either.

You do realize that if you put a jet on there, you will lose 33% of you power.

Do you think they put a Force/Chrysler page on this site for looks? Just because it says "Made By Mercury Marine", doesn't make it a Mercury outboard

I Can Tell You Know alot. WAY too much about outboards.... by reading this you are a genius.. I think the best thing to do is you give me your number, that way if I ever have any questions about anything dealing with boats I won't bother to post it on here, I can just call * YOU *!! thanks 79merc80 for your expert replies. :D:D

You don't need my number, just READ. Read what your engine really is and them post questions in the appropriate forum, then this wouldn't have happened
