Go the engine (5.7) pulled and at the machine shop.

The floors have some weak spots so that will get tackled the winter.

Currently got the rear bench seat out to rework the seat base/frame and redo upholstery. The plywood base for the bench seat had started to rot, got the carpet removed (Saved for a pattern) now looking at building a new base. I want this to last for a long time.

What should be used to waterproof the new plywood? I am going to look at dimensional treated lumber as well but if I use that I would still like to waterproof. Suggestions?

Welcome to iBoats!
Ext. Ply and Coat it with Epoxy resin. NOT Polyester resin. Epoxy resin. Check with your Local Body Shop and see where they get theirs. Two Coats paying close attention to the edges and you won't ever have to replace it again. Make sure to Pre drill any holes and then coat the screws and the holes with 3M 4200 to seal it up. Do this and it will last.

I'm just sayin...:D
