If you didn't do a spark test when she wouldn't start then you are only guessing it was an electrical problem and you are again only guessing its the power pack.
Guessing like that can get real expensive real fast.

Buying a new power pack at this point is a knee-jerk reaction to a problem that you don't even know is spark related. Why not a new fuel pump? or a new kill switch? You need to wait until you experience the problem again (that's assuming it even happens again) and then do some investigating.

I had a very simular problem..... gradually it got worse. Finally it was the power pack. A fifteen minute replacement made her purr like a kitten :)
