My engine is a 1996 Evinrude 130HP (HE130TXADA) pushing an 18ft f/glass fishing boat. Full tank of gas, and confirmed outboard in using oil.

Recently I started to get a "NO OIL" light on the tacho and continuous alarm horn but only at <2,000RPM. Switch engine off, alarm stops. Start engine and its like nothing hapenned. Head off to next fishing spot at >4,000RPM and no issues, slow down to sound around a reef at low RPM and i'll get NO OIL light + continuous alarm horn.

The next trip i trolled lures for 30mins at 1,500-2,250 RPM to see if the light would go on and the horn, nothing!

Following trip i went on a 15mile run at 4,500-5,500RPM and then a few moves at low RPM, bang -> NO OIL light and conitnuous alarm horn sounds. Switch engine off and start again all good... go to take off and even though iw as advancing throttle to where boat should launch onto the plane it wouldnt, super sluggish. decide to motor back slowly and then every 1.5-2mins the light would come on and horn would sound.

I read alot of threads to see if i could find similar post but after 3-4pgs of threads didnt find anything pointing to "NO OIL light" + continuous horn alarm sounding...

Appreciate any help of tips on where i should start.

No Oil alarm is continuous, so no mystery there.

Not sure whatis exact issue, but if I were you, I would empty oil tank and clean it out, especially the filter. I would replace the oil line and primer bulb with new stuff. Nor pump oil primer until you get oil at the hose end, with no air bubbles. Connect to the OMS pump and pump once more.

Fill the reservoir and connect a portable tank full of 50::1 premix to motor and urn that out. If alarm is off and oil is used from injection tank, you should be good to go.

Alternatively, you might source a replacement OMS pump, or decide to go premix.

In the Clymer manual it says if i had an oil pump problem (NO OIL light) then i would get intemittent alarm, not continuous. That's why i am confused.
