I have an omc boat with the warning system built in.What I am getting is a hot signal on low (1000-1500)rpms.Could it be that one of the temperature switches is bad? With more rpms or throttle the signal goes out.any help would be appreciated!thanks
[*]null
:)

You may actually be HOT! An impeller that has taken a "set" or is worn will work OK at higher rpm's and lose effeciency at low speeds.

If you've never done it, it's time for impeller service!

If you run in salt water, thermostats can stick also. Raising the boat speed unseats the pressure relief and some cooling water goes through.

Both are relatively easy to check and/or replace.

thanks for the response! I put thermostats in it 2 years ago. And an impeller in it last year.went through a lot of weeds this year. I'll put another impeller in it and we'll see how she goes!
