Looking for a new (or good used) lower carb or carb set for the above engine.

The seat on existing carb has wallowed out and is flooding at over 4000 RPM's, and the seat is not removable.

The two carbs on the engine are as follows:

Top
Tillotson 82095
TC 119A 539

Bottom
Tillotson 82095
TC 120A 542

The bottom carb is the most important but would buy the whole set.

;)

Maybe one of the guys with the reference manuals can tell if they might cross.Send me a pic of the carb take it apart.Maybe changing the jets might do it. I'll take a pic later when it gets light outside. Jerry

Re: 1996 Force 120 Bottom Carb

Carbs have been re-built twice by a very reputable marina here. They hold pressure up to 10psi while sitting, but at any RPM's over 4200 they start vibrating in the seat and flood the carbs.

How can they make a carb without removable seats.

Edit: The only fix the Factory could come up with is playing with needles from other carb makes to get the Needle to seat on different area of the seat than the OEM. They have plenty of the Top Carbs in Stock, but no Bottom Carbs.

The only difference might be that the bottom has the two way fuel adaptor, that sends fuel up to the top carb.Maybe buy two top carbs and run two fuel lines.???????????????? Jerry

I would think the needle and seats would be different, to compensate for decrease in fuel pressure down the rail.

I decided to re-power with a 1998 Mercury 150EFI, but would like to get a new carb on this before i sell it.

Take them apart and compare them.I imagine that the hose fitting will probably be the only difference. The pump delivers the same pressure to the top as the bottom.Jerry

Thanks Jerry, I will have a play around with them when I get the boat back from getting it's new power plant put on.
