1996 Johnson 150 saltwater ignition problems

I have a 1996 Johnson 150 saltwater series. The engine only runs when I hold the key in the start position. After replacing the power pack, ignition switch, voltage regulator, and rectifier it will barely run for 5 min and then dies. Anybody got any ideas????

Are you saying that it will only run if you twist the key to the start position or push in on the primer feature of the key switch?
