1996 Lund Alaskan 18? vs. 2011

I am going to look at Lund 1996 18? Alaskan in the next couple of days. Are there any significant difference between a 96 and current production?

If so what are the differences?
Any thing specific I should look for on the boat?


Any help would be appreciated.

Gary, my guess (and that's all it is, a guess) is that production materials and techniques in the current model are greatly improved over the model produced 15 years ago.

If you can, get ahold of a 2011 Lund catalog, or check the one on Lundboats.com, to see how the new ones are built. Even better, find a new one in a showroom or boat show to actually see and touch. For example, I'd be curious about how the transom is built and the quality of the decking materials. -Ken
