I recently purchased my first boat, a 1996 Lunker V16 LTD (50th Anniv), and would like to know where I can find any documentation that might be available (wiring diagrams, hose locations, etc.) or if anyone has information that came with their boat. I contacted Alumacraft and were surprised that they had no information available.

The livewell pump on the boat is not working (no sound, no water flows into livewell, fuse checked ok - likely needs to be replaced) and I'm not exactly sure how it is supposed to work. The livewell on this boat is on the port side and is about 3' long inside and near the front top of the livewell is a ~3" black cap with holes. There is also drain hole on the outside of the hull above the water line near the front of the livewell. Is this black cap with holes the aerator that is driven by the pump? Is there an overflow in the top corner that I didn't see that exits out the side of the boat?

I used a hose to put water in the livewell and it drains out the back of the boat near the the drain plug for the boat. The aerator is mounted in the bilge area and has a "screened" intake that is also near the drain plug on the back of the boat. There is no plug in the livewell, where should I look to find a replacement?

After being on the water for 30 minutes or so, there was only about a cup of water in the live well (it was dry prior to putting the boat in the water). I'm also getting some water in the bilge but the boat doesn't appear to leak (ran water in the bilge area while on the trailer and did not seen any leaks) - is it possible the water is from a leak in the livewell plumbing somewhere?

I'd like to understand how it is supposed to function before I start tearing things apart. I can get some pics if that will help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff
