1996 Merc 150 EFI -- tell me about em

Just wondering if these are good motors?(assuming it's 1000% like the merc certified mechanics tell me it)

I am test driving the boat tomorrow, so I just wanted to know what the word is on the 150 EFI motors.

Good engine untill you stop maintenance on it...
