1996 Mercruiser 5.7L 260 hp Ignition timing???

Real quick, got a 1996 350 cu in 260 hp mercruiser. Just put new intake gaskets on it. The distributor dropped right back in. just a few degrees off though to run right. What should it be set at. Like 10 degrees btdc or something????

Thunderbolt 5: 10 degrees BTDC in base mode

Thunderbolt 4: 8 degrees BTDC
