1996 ocean pro 150 Troubles

Check engine alarm and light comes on after engin has been running awhile. <br />Checked engin temp- fine.<br />Very good water flow. <br />Checked thermostats-not sticking. <br />Light and alarm go off after load is elimated (engine in nuetral) and runs for a few seconds.<br />Alarm returns with engin under load. <br />What exactly does the Check Engine gauge refer to.<br />Need Help Please..... Thanks

Your manual should tell you - - you do have a manual?? Hint - Hint. The alarm is telling you that either the motor is getting hot or your vro is not working properly. Either will ruin your motor if not tended to.

The check engine light is for fuel restriction this engine. If you have a spin-0n fuel fiter, check the filter.
