well Guys I bought the motor 2 months ago, while i finished redoing my boat.
I had it rigged on a stand with ign switch, battery and fuel just to run it ,i started it about 4 times no problem,i had to put the 2 browns wires together "nuetral safety switch"for it to start,Well i finally put it on the boat and installed the 704 shifter, tach, and now it won't start i mean it does nothing,i had attach the 2 brown wires form the shifter to the 2 browns for the harness,so i disconnected them and put the together like before and still nothing,i have juice getting to the solenoid but when i turn the key there is nothing going to the brown wire on the solenoid ,i was told you should have power there when you turn the key,I have a manual ,and i still can't figure it out ,I have a red fused wire that i connected to the solenoid on the same nut as the from the positive wire is connected and goes to the rectifier, well i am a little frustrated and maybe someone can help thanks
