1997 evinrude intruder150hp decarb process help!!

im looking to maybe decarb my motor and make sure everything is clean to possibly fix the issue i am having with my motor...im familiar with atv carb but never tore into a outboard carb...can someone give me some input on what to do and what i need to be carefull of before i do this. thanks

BTW, decarb requires no dis-assembly and is NOT for cleaning a carb, but for cleaning carbon from combustion surfaces. Get an OEM shop manual if you want to clean a carb, and get some Gunk or Berrymans carb cleaner, which you soak parts in overnight, blow dry and re-assemble.
