1997 Force 75HP leaky prop shaft seal

Hey guys,

Noticed oil coming from around my prop. Can I change the seal on the prop shaft without tearing the whole lower unit apart?

Found some info on other posts that seem like my scenario. I ran motor in the driveway with ear muffs and I guess some oil residue from the exhaust may be the culprit. Oil was pretty dark and the dirty gear oil wasn’t as dark. Let me know if I’m wrong.

Your best bet is do a pressure test.
Drain, test, as you test? turn the driveshaft and prop shaft.
You need 13# of pressure to make sure it's not leaking.
