Ok so here is the story. While running the boat a week ago a magnet from the flywheel broke loose and ruined the stator ring. So after removing the broken magnet fixing the flywheel with new magnets and replacing the stator, it will not run. Keep in mind it ran back to shore even with the beat up stator. I check the spark and it is doing funny stuff. First time I checked it I had spark on 3 cylinders. 2 on the rt side and 1 on the left. After removing the CDI bolts and inspecting all my connections which are all correct and in good shape. I started doing some tests. Checking to see if the kill switch was bad etc. There are 2 ground wires that bolt to the top of the CDI. I checked spark with them removed and I had spark on all but 1 cylinder. But engine still would not fire.I reconnected the grounds and tested it again. Now I have spark only on the rt bank. But now on all 3 cylinders. Weird! The point is the spark has moved to various cylinders several times now. What could be the cause of this? Is the CDI box bad? If so why all of a sudden it was fine before all this crap!!!
