My boat has not been on the water for at least 6 months. I last started it in May 2009 and everything seemed fine except my accessory battery had busted probably from the lack of water in it. I put a new one in on this past Friday and replaced the charger for that battery and the starting battery. I went to start the boat and nothing. Later I got the ignition lights to come on but no starter. That's when I noticed that the trim did not work either. I checked all the fuses that I could with no luck. Is there a solenoid that I can check? Any suggestions?

there is an inline fuse near the starter solenoid, i controls the power to the ignition switch and trim.

Thanks for your fast response. Is that inline fuse the 20 amp blade fuse? If so, I already changed it out with the spare one.

Okay, I tried a lot of different angles to get it to power up. The last thing I tried was grinding the cables down to bare metal because it was clear that Iwas getting power to the starter and the Tilt and trim solenoids. After this I got power and a quick start. I turned the engine off after about 5 minutes and tried to restart without success. I tightened the nuts down more and got power. This was a far more simple fix than I could have imagined because that would have been one of the first things I did if I ws having a low power problem. Thanks for your input.
Until next time...Strikeking52
