1997 Maxum 1900 SR2 - Good first boat?

I am looking at this boat

I have never owned a boat before and would be using it on a lake in the area an Occasionally on the Ohio River here near Cincinnati. Would this be a good first boat? The price seems a little high compared to the NADA guide. I went and saw it and it looked to be in really good shape as far as I could tell, I didn't really know what to look for.

I too am a first time boat owner and the SR2 is a great boat! I paid $500 more for mine but it's a 21' and has a 5.7. I think that price is reasonable but I wouldn't be surprised if you could talk them down some more. I found that what NADA said and what people were asking was always different.
