The oil injection gear drive went out on my 150EFI a year or two ago. I now mix my fuel/oil, and it's been running great. At that time, I disconnected a couple wires, I think one was for the oil reservoir tank and the other for the injector. I haven't had the siren beeping while using the boat.
Yesterday I was out and went to start the motor and it wouldn't crank. There was also a strange intermittent alarm beeping. Eventually, for no known reason, the motor cranked and started fine, but the siren was still beeping. I shut the motor off and restarted it several times, and the alarm eventually quit. I run the boat about 20 minutes to the ramp and shut it off to get the truck/trailer. When I started the boat to load it, the motor started fine but the siren beeped until I shut it off. I just went out and turned the key, got the normal couple beeps and it stops. The motor also cranks. It is not a water pump or overheat issue. The indicator was shooting water out and water pressure gauge was fine.
Any ideas?
