Question answer is Yes. The 8 pin connects to the Commander 2000 and 3000 remote controls to name a couple. The latest released version of the manual covering the 2 stroke 3 and 4 cylinder 60 Jet thru 125 was in late 1990's and covers 1994 and later engines. All engines have the same pin out and functional wire color codes listed for all these engines.
