I would like to convert my 1997 9.9 merc from tiller control to remote control. Can anyone tell me what's involved in doing this and the costs? This motor has the throttle and shift combined in the tiller handle. Would it make sense to sell the motor and buy one that's set up this way? What do you think the motor would be worth? It's a short shaft, has only seen fresh water use and is in great condition. Thanks.
