I have a 1998 115 4 cylinder and I want to replace the exhaust cover gaskets because I?ve seen some water leaking out of them.
My original parts manual lists the 2 gaskets as p/n 812775-5 and 812775-4. It seems that those part numbers have been replaced by p/n 27-812775A01 which is a single part number for 2 gaskets.
I ordered and received the new part number, but I?m concerned about what I see. One gasket is just what I would expect. The second gasket is an exact duplicate of the first, except that several webs of the gasket are perforated as if they should be torn apart. One of the perforations is already broken.
I would like to avoid tearing things apart and then finding that I don?t have the correct parts to put it back together.
So, my question is, do I have the correct parts and is one of the gaskets supposed to be perforated and torn apart ? Or do I need to buy a 2nd 27-812775A01 and use the solid gaskets from each kit ?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
