Howdy everyone,
I've really noticed that this is a great place to get the hard to answer questions at last answered. Been trying to deal with Merc tech service but they seem to read the manual to me.

My 200 EFI has a flat spot in the power curve, if I accelerate slowly, when the motor gets to about 3900 rpm, it will drop back to 3200 rpm and then continue to the 5800 rpm. I talked with the Merc Techs but thier suggestions didn't pan out. My fuel pressure is right, and I have the throttle sensor, timing, and max timing set per the specs in the manual. It seems that the motor is transitioning from a low speed timing to a high speed timing but doesn't have a smooth transition programed into the motor. Any suggestions on smoothing the transition and fixing the flat spot?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks for the idea, ?but? I?ve religiously changed the fuel filter every year and have checked the screen on the electric fuel pump. This problem has been tough for me to figure out, if you keep the throttle in one spot, and let the boat accelerate slowly, as it rpm?s hit 3900, the motor will drop back to 3100 rpm and then continue until it reaches max rpm. If I hit the gas hard and can get the rpm?s past the 3900 mark, it?s accelerate with just a slight hesitation at 3900, to 5800 rpm. Any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
