Last season my tilt trim started working intermittent. When trimming the motor it started to move very slowly, almost like the battery was going dead. Over time the trim worked less and less then not at all. There was no oil leaks or sheen in the water when using the trim. When i removed the boat at the end of the year, i tapped on the trim motor and it started working again. But now again will not work. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Sounds like you have some stuck or dirty brushes in the t/t mtr.

Before going the routine of pulling the motor, try supplying direct 12v to the motor wires.
If that doesn't work then it does sound like the tilt motor is going south.

I've tapped tilt mtrs many times to get them to work and it always boiled down to stuck or dirty brushes.
