1998 225hp - what's it worth?

EFI - 400hours or so. Compression is 110 in four pistons...the other ones being 115 and 105. What do you think is a fair price to buy???

Last one I bougt was a 97 with excellent compression. Needed a lower unit. Paid $900 and bought a new lower for $850

wow - that sounds very cheap. Let me know if there is another one like that... I'm seeing Force 125 going for over 1.5k

Too many unknown variables - Location, private or dealer, running/not running, fresh/salt water usage and compression isn't everything.

Hard motor to sell around here. HEAVY and not too many boats will handle them. Mine ran great but was way too heavy for my boat. Sold it complete for $2500.

+1 Fatz..... The higher priced ones have props controls etc and running good with good comp numbers and low leak down numbers.

Dealer, salt water, runs nicely.... Has prop, not controls
