would a 1998 3.0 225 have a rev limiter of sorts? also would it have a idle stabilizer?

motor has oil inj now and the alarm sounds when i turn key on,,does that mean its working,it beeps once?

One beep when you turn the key on is the self test pass indication.
If you also have the warning lights, they should flash once as well, at least they do in my 96 Mariner 225.

The rev limiter is built into the ignition ECU.
Don't know about the idle satbilizer....

whats your rev limiter set too? i had mine on muffs and after it got warm i tried to rev it all way up but seems it stoped around 3500 rpm.

Engine over speed is set at 6000 rpm's
