Help"" The issue Iam having is that the outboard was running fine & about every 2 hours of wide open throttle the engine would lose rpm's for a breif moment & then pick back up again. Know the outboard shakes(misfires) when attempting to increase rpm's, but runs fine at idle. I replaced the spark plugs & ran resistance checks on spark plug wires. Sprayed fuel in to carburator while hesitating (no difference). Engine is not overheating at all, but is equipped with a low rpm safety feature in case of overheat. any suggestions?

One cylinder may not be doing anything. The engine will start and run fine, but wen you put it into gear, it will lug or stall, and run poorly when given the throttle.
Check the compression. You did not state what model engine you have, but compression is generic.
I think you may fine one cylinder with zero or very low compression.
If not, you must disclose the make/model.

12 footer,
I went ahead & started the engine & ran one cylinder at a time, the engine still ran when one are the other was disconnected with no variation from one to the next. It also ran fine through all the rpms today. the model number is a 50SPL (J50TSLECC). Thank you for your input.
