On my 1998, 70hp, 4 stroke, there are two plugs on the left side on motor(standing at rear), one is a hex head about 1/2" the other is a plastic screw in. I think the hex head is a drain for oil but not sure, the other may be for fresh water flush ,but again I am not sure. Can some one tell me what these plugs are fo? I do not have a manual for motor yet. I just got boat about 3 weeks ago.
Thanks
Michael

Wait for the Manual, BK. Trying to guess on that engine is an invitation to disaster.

Thats what I will be doing JB. I may run it by the local dealer to get their input. I am pretty sure that the steel hex plug must be for oil drain and the plastic plug for water flush, but want to be sure. These are the only things on motor housing except the trim/tilt button.
Thanks
Michael
