1998 90hp rude

I was looking at buying a boat with this motor and the owner said it would go about 38mph at WOT and the max rpm is about 4500, doesn't that sound low for this setup? It is on a 17ft. charger<br /><br /><br />thnx<br />mark

Depends on the boat and the prop, Mark.<br /><br />Sounds like the boat needs a different prop and some fine tuning of the rigging.
