Was running great until a couple of days ago, now spins great but will not fire, not even a sputter trying to fire. This has been a very reliable motor to this point. Any ideas?? I have already checked the fuse on the motor and the emergency kill switch. Any other ideas??

Sorry I dont know force ignition systems very well. Check to verify lanyard is in working order and ignition switch is working correctly. Do you have a service manual?

Make sure the bulb is primed, motor not flooded, no water in gas, the choke is working properly, obviously the plugs. It's easy to check the kill switch, ohm it out at the motor end. There is a big rubber plug on the left side of the motor, laying on the bottom of the motor housing, make sure it's plugged in tight. I have spent hours troubleshooting to find out this plug had slightly came apart. Reseated it, fired right up, took electrical tape and taped it tight.

Thanks for the info; tried all that, now turning it over to a marine mechanic and hoping he says it is toast so I can justify replacing it.
