1998 johnson 25hp not fireing

motor ran fine all summer, now it has no fire. I replaced the power pack, no good. I do have fire to fuse, I do not no where to go from here. Any and all ideas greatly appreciated .. is there a way to check the starter silonid? starter spins it over plenty fast, but no fire

What is the model number is this a twin or a triple 25? Take a look at the CDI guide for troubleshooting tips.

Find the five pin amphenol connector. Disconnect it. Jump the four wires that are not blk/yel. Do you have spark now?

Starter will spin with kill lanyard pulled. No spark.

Starter will work only in neutral assuming safety switch is good. Will not spin if it's in gear or neutral safety switch is bad. Lanyard Only kills spark

Easy way is to make four jumper wires, each having a male and a female end. Jump the four that are not blk/yel. Do you have spark now?

I would make sure the no spark issue (if continued) isn't the little red kill switch -- would want to do that before pulling apart the connectors. The switch is probably located a little above your key switch on the remote, or about half way up the tiller handle if tiller steering. It's spring loaded closed -- must be held open with the clip in order to get spark.
