Replaced my regulator as I was getting erratic tach readings. Now it works great and finally got a chance to test but the water was not glass, choppy conditions. Fully loaded I calculate my 2001 22' Cape Craft Center console at 4000 to 4200lbs fully loaded with gas/passengers/bait/fishing/gear/batteries etc. 200 EFI Merc runs great but I just pulled injectors to get professionaly cleaned. Prop is a Solas/Rubex SS 14.5 diameter 15 pitch. I can only squeeze 5100-5200 rpms WOT and top speed 34.8mph (GPS) in choppy conditions. Research shows this motor max rpm is 5800 so Im off considerably right? I dont care about hole shot or top speed but only cruise speed and fuel economy as this is stricly an offshore fisher. Dont have a fuel meter yet, but my calculations are 1.3 mpg consumption as I can run 45 miles on a full tank and it takes about 32 gallons to top off the 70 gallon tank. Located in Los Angeles and no prop experts that I found that offers free prop demo to help dial in prop. Thanks for any help folks.
