1998 Mercury 150 EFI beeping / alarm

Hello all,

Just purchased a 1998 Nitro 884 bass boat with matching mercury 150 efi outboard. The motor runs great, however after driving for a couple minutes on plane, I get an erratic beeping / alarm. As soon as I slow down it stops, and while on plane, theres sometimes lomg pauses between beeps. I tried counting the beeps today and there seemed to be no set number of beeps or pattern. At first I thought it was low oil maybe, as the oil was a bit low, but I filled the reservoir, and still had the issie again today. Any ideas? Or anyone experience this before??

Not an OB guy but from what I'm finding on the web it's probably the oil sender.

Thanks. I know it's an old post but did some more research myself. I removed the oil injection and went to a premix. Not a problem since. Local marina said this motor has a lot of problems with a plastic gear on the oil injection and recommended I just remove it. Block off kit was about $10.
