1998 Mercury 150 question??

I just bought a boat that has a 1998 Mercury blue water 150. It runs great and the boat appears to have had very little use. My question is can you guys give me any advice on what I need to look out for on this engine. Do these have a history of any kind of specific problems? I have very little knowledge of outboards.

Depending on the PO any outboard could have a history. Do you know how long its been since the impeller was changed? did you look at the lube in the LU to see if there was any water intrusion? If it starts, runs good and looks clen chances are you'll get alot of usage out of that motor. Do your basic maintenance and you should be fine. I mainly would suggest getting a manual and in your free time do a little reading and get to know your engine. Just my 02

No Idea when the impeller was changed? Is this something I should do as a precaution? Is changing a impeller out a difficult job on that engine? Lower unit oil looks good. Like I said before the motor and the boat look immaculate, this boat spent the vast majority of its life in storage

One other question I forgot to ask, is this motor carburated or fuel injected? Like I said before I know very little about outboards
