Looking for info on where to start for a problem with the shift lever/linkage. The boat shift level will go in forward but the boat is really not in forward gear. It will go in netural and reverse but nothing forward. Where should I start to do PD?

Thanks

all it is, is a cable operating a hood so either the outer cable is bad and scrunching up when you are trying to go forward or the cable is out of adjustment in the controlls.some use a stainless arm attached to a nylon bushing and the nylon may have stripped or cracked I would go in to the controlls and start there

Thanks for the fast response... I assume that the hood is up to go forward and down when you are in reverse.

Ok.. update.. the cable was broke a few inches past the bottom of the controller. Is there a place to purchase online? Or does anyone have an estimate of the part and labor to replace a cable. 2001 Seadoo Challenger Sportster LE 15ft.
