1998 Super Guide v14

Just bought a 1998 Superguide v14, with console.

Is there anything I need to know about this boat to keep it in top condition?

It has a 1999 Merc 40 ELPTO with tilt & trim on it.

same as any boat park it with the plug out and a slight tilt so the rain will drain out. keep up the scheduled maintenance on the motor and battery. lube the trailer bearings and such. should last a long time.

Thanks for your suggestions MudSkunk.

The boat is kept in a heated garage any time it's not in the water.

I've been awy from boats and motors for since 1988 and I'm afraid I'm either going to forget something basic, or that something has changed that I don't know about.

the owners manual for the motor will tell ya everything ya need as far as maintanance goes. but sounds like you got a good home for it

Yeah...I'm funny that way. I take care of my stuff and it takes care of me.

I'll order the manual for the motor, it wasn't with the boat.
