PTT on the throttle worked fine all day but then pulling up on the trailer it quit working. The switch at the bow next to trolling motor controller works fine so I know it's not the PTT motor or relays. How do pull the shift throttle assembly out to check the switch and replace if necessary. I saw in older post that said to push in the "throttle only" know push throttle forward and pull the knob. I tried that, but the knob broke off the stem that pushes in; have it JB Welded now. Did I push the throttle forward too much? Where do I buy the switch for it once I have it out?

If both up and down both don't work???
I'd say there might be a bad connection someplace??

I believe there is a set screw on the bottom of the shift handle.
Remove that and check for a broken hot lead.
You have 3 wires in there.
R-hot
Blue- up
Green-down

Someplace under the dash or side console is a connector that might have come loose.
Check the connections at the battery.

Thanks Jerry. I had a mechanic friend come help take the throttle assembly out and it was exactly what you said, broken red wire about 3" below the switch. Spliced it back together with crimp connector and electric tape the whole length of all three wires together. It works now. Wish I had a good video camera and foresight to record it to post here.

Glad it's fixed.
Sometime it's the simple things that cause the most problems.
