The outdrive is a 98 Cobra SX powered by a 4.3GL and I need a new gimbal bearing due to a hole in my bellow and water intrusion. I'm uncertain as to what to order though since I don't have an initial on my ID plate. I will attach a picture below so every detail will be included. I'm linking a video below as well just for fun. I'm a little surprised I made it back to the hill.20220529_131647.jpgBad Gimbal Test

go with an OEM kit it is not that much more and fits better and lasts longer. You do NOT want that to leak again prematurely.
I have found that on the Cobras the OEM bellows lasts about 10 years.

I ended up grabbing OEM bellows. The Sierra driveshaft bellows i put on 3 years ago had cracked and thats how the water got in and washed down the gimbal. I always store it with the outdrive down so I'm not sure why it cracked so quickly.

Everything is all new and lubed now so hopefully the rest of the summer will be nice and trouble free.

Ran boat today after work and everything was nice, smooth, and quiet again.
