1998 Waverunner GP1200 Oil Pump Blockoff

The SBT oil pump blockoff for the 1998 Waverunner comes with the plate, two bolts to hold it in place, two washers for under the bolts and three little hose covers. I know I can tie up the float to keep the alarm from going off. Can I remove the oil tank or is it still lubing something else? I will never be going back to injected oil nor will the ski likely ever be sold so it'll be Amsoil 50:1pre-mix for now on for this engine.

SBT confirms for me that since the Yamaha is a reed valve engine the tank can be completely removed after the blockoff plate is installed and the oil nipples on the carbs are plugged. It should be very clean looking.
