I have a 1998ish Mercury 4 Stroke outboard that is extremely hard to start. Once it get's running it's fine, and will start on half a pull; but getting it to start has taken me up to 45 minutes! That's a lot of time and calories burned. I recently realized that there is no choke on it, or at least not a visible one, is that normal? I bought it a little less than a year ago, and the guy I bought it from said he had just changed the oil in it. Would that have anything to do with this? I'm getting really frustrated and could use some help! Thanks guys!
