I am looking to buy a new (USED) engine (SINGLE) for my 20’ CC. I am looking at a 1999 200 HP Evinrude FICHT with approx. 350 hours running time. No repair history. According to the owner it runs perfect. It is a counter rotating engine (will that be a problem?). The compression is good. Any advice to help me make up my mind will be greatly appreciated. $4,000 is asked.

Someone has been very lucky, Henry. Do you want to press your luck?

I wouldn't accept a '99 Ficht V6 that hadn't been completely updated to Bombardier specs as a gift.

If completely updated the price seems decent.

Henry - Go to the red search at the top of the page and enter FICHT as a search arguement. Then get back to us with your thoughts.

the motor may be fine?
the counter rotation will make boat lean to starboard assuming your steering is on starboard side
