1999 25 Hp.merc. Crank?????

Hey Gang,
I just bought a 1999 25 five HP. two stroke. I is not running of course.
Pulled it apart and on piston is scored up real good. but block is fine. The center bearing on the Crank shaft is my question. How is it put on,? split Crank?
split bearing?? how does it come off? got me stumped Other than a new piston and rings all should be ok to go. just worried about the center bearing.
any help is most welcome. thanks. Rocky

The bearing is a split bearing which is held in place around the shaft using a sleeve which is broken in a process which results in an uneven line so that the two halves mate up better. To the point it is actually very hard to see the joint once the two halves are pressed together around the bearing halves. The sleeves are then held using a ring pin.
