hi all
I just bought the above outboard,and it is in excellent condition,the engine oil
is crystal clear,the gear case oil is bluish green, no water, starts easy,pees
water almost as soon as it starts.

as this is my first 4 stroke outboard,any advice as to how to care for it would
be greatly appreciated,,,,and by the way it still has the serial # on it ---lol

thanks in advance

Clint;

Give us the s/n and we may be able to provide you with an online service manual and parts listing.

Clint;

When you go to that page, you scroll down 3/4 of the page and you will see all the component sections listed there. Click on the ones in red on the LH side of the page and they will open up for you.

Clint;

Have no idea what you are referring to as the link works just fine.

Here is the link to the full page and you can select your own.

http://1manual.com/Mercury manuals/Service_Manual_Index.html

Should save you a lot of complaining.

As well, you might want to download Adobe Acrobat Reader and install it on your computer if you want to read these things.

Should save you a lot of complaining.

thank you for the advice,,i already have adobe reader, have had since it came out.
i went to the above link as usual i get the cover page and 2 more pages,the 3rd page
has the index, when i click on any of the red items,such as electrical nothing happens
or i click on the chapter 1 2 or whatever--nothing happens,,I am using windows 7, and firefox
is you say it works, i have to believe you,,,however it wont work for me.
FYI i ordered a manual-----90-8547852R-yesty.

what with all the guru's on this forum,I figured someone could answer a couple of simple
questions,,,,,,,,,from now on,,just tell everyone to get a manual,,end of problems

thanks
Clint
