1999 90 spl Question

I have a 1999 90 hp Evinrude SPL (Non VRO). There always seems to be a slight miss at an RPM from 1500 up to redline. By miss I can see the motor cover shakes/twitches pretty rhythmically...not just once in a while. Engine idles fine. Any ideas what to check. Have not had this boat long so don't know much more than that.

try pumping the fuel bulb to see if that temporarily fixes it while running.
Replace your sparkplugs if they look old too
