i got a lot of great responses on my other thread for my overheating problem (1999 90hp 3cyl over heating over 3000 rpm). i did the water pump, thermostat, poppet valve etc. I think i have a bad water tube or seal. when i first removed my lower unit (lower unit was bad and replaced with a new one) the water tube pulled down with it. i popped it back in and have had this overheating problem since. Does the water tube come out the bottom of the mid section or does it come out the top? when i pull the lower unit, the water tube will come out about a foot then stop. i didnt want to force it out if its not supposed to come out that way.
