I read in this forum about the oil tank warning horn going off all of the time. I have had this problem. Yesterday I was able to get to wires going to the sensor (2 blue wires connecting to 2 tan/blue wires) & disconnected each wire separately. One made no difference, but the other stopped the warning horn. I must mention that I was just turning on the key & not starting the motor (motor was cold). Someone said in the other forum that sometimes the tank goes bad (something to do with the magnets & the material the tank is make of). So I was contemplating ordering another tank & installing it.
One problem I ran into was the bolt on the bottom of the tank. The tank is very close to the side of the motor which makes it very hard to get to this bolt. I was wondering if anyone else has taken one of these tanks off & would suggest a good way to take that bolt out.
Thanks.
